I have another lovely announcement to make. The Adventures of Portly the Otter has been nominated for the Carnegie Medal for writing 2027!
It is a particular pleasure to be a part of the Carnegiemedals this year because it is their 90the anniversary and I owe my love of reading, and therefore my career as a writer, tot he librarians of my childhood. I have all my fingers and toes crossed that Portly makes the shortlist.
Thank-you to every librarian everywhere for teh amazing work that you do, which is inspirational and truly life-changing.
